Provide coverage during recess for classroom teachers (teacher assistants will be present during this time).
Read to and listen to students read in all grade levels; monitor AR testing when finished with a book.
Become a lunch buddy to selected students who need to build positive relationships with adults.
Assist with PBIS incentive events. This could include helping with the event for those students who qualify, or providing coverage for those students who did not meet expectations and will not be participating.
Media Center support – help check in, check out, and shelve books while Mrs. Fowler is having class. This would allow for an open library concept for students who do not have media and need to return/check out more books.
Help students complete assignments/practice specific skills in small groups in grade K-5.
Provide support in K-3 classrooms (monitoring students, helping with assignments, helping students transition) when teachers are conducting progress monitoring or mCLASS testing.
Assist with copying papers for weekly classwork/homework, gather and prepare (cutting paper, stapling papers, etc.) materials needed for lessons and activities, prepare weekly work folders to go home with student work, or homework folders to go home
